Dear All
More than a letter this is an open challenge to all those who believe that pursuing law is the last carrier option and perhaps it becomes a carrier option more of accident and optionlessness rather than passion and dream. At times, I get astonished seeing my neighbors’ and several other acquaintances reacting disgustingly over this choice. Let me clarify at the very beginning, I choose law because of my passion, because it was my dream and not because of some f***ing rejection from all other lucrative option (of course in your view) such as engineering, medical and any other such lucrative seeming option to you. I am sure that I am not alone who joined a law school as the outcome of his passion for this great career, there are thousands like me studying, to be more precise chasing their dreams passionately in some or other law schools around the country. Now talking on behalf of all such dream chasers, we choose law because we believe that we were born to stand out and not just following the herd in getting a lucrative job earning in seven digits then marrying (In most of the cases along with the refund of all the education cost or any other such expenses in upbringing from bride’s family) then having some children then looking after them and one fine day die like everyone else around without actually having done something significant. Now to the prevailing perception, People generally believe that law is all about reading those bloody heavy books and thereafter mugging up all the shit, actually this is what we (Law lovers) expect from your mean understanding of law. For us books are not merely books rather books are the living legend greatest of all teachers, mightier than the mightiest and most powerful of all living creatures. Books guide us from the bloody lanes of history to the peaceful present to the bright & blissful days of future. We are passionate to be the student of law because we do not want to stink like stagnant water rather we want to grow every day, because we want to live beyond the human memories… When I appreciate my carrier I never try to look down upon people having different dreams and career goals because as a law student we have the understanding of the importance of every section and every work, this is just an appeal to give due respect to this career option as well and to acknowledge the importance of law as career not because of my request rather because of our reasons for making it our dream (I call it life). Allow us to chase our dream peacefully as you allow engineers and doctor…for ours is no less than their dreams and also because you might need a lawyer some day. ;)

ReplyDeletewell said kashayap... nd I respect ur passion dream nd motivation.. but hw can u say doctor or engineer simply a lucrative job... they also have passion . . nd ofcourse they r not stagnant... u want to progress nd probably want to create an ordered peaceful society... they r also progressind nd making this society nore comfortable... I m reading ur message because a passionate engineer thought to communicate over miles... u know what to progress in any field.. it requires passion... and a job is lucrative because there is money in it and that's so because it has got more value in present scenario nd society.....

ReplyDeleteKashyap it was really a great reply to all those people who have this misconception in their mind that "she or he chose law just coz she or he cudnot go 4 engineering or medical".. Law is the noblest of all noble professions and i really appreciate those who understand the power of my profession or rather our profession... well done!!
