WHEN SAVIOR TURNED DEVIL The Kunan-Poshpura villages came into the news and in February 1991 when some soldiers were reportedly killed in a militant ambush. The village before that had never had a problem with the military but single baseless suspect of few military personals put an indelible blot on the glorious pages of the history of Indian Armed forces for the posterity to condemn.  Everything changed in the intervening night of February 23- 24, 1991. An unspecified number of soldiers of the 4th Rajputana Rifles mustered the entire village in the name of conducting a “search operation”. All the men were asked to come out of their homes, and were taken away to another location for interrogation. Once the men were taken away, soldiers went inside every house, ruthlessly raped and abused women through the night. The victims of this mass rape ranged in age from 13 to 80 years. Their numbers remained a matter of conjecture as only 53 or more married women filed FIRs or police ...

  A Law Student Letter to the world. Dear All More than a letter this is an open challenge to all those who believe that pursuing law is the last carrier option and perhaps it becomes a carrier option more of accident and optionlessness  rather than passion and dream. At times, I get astonished seeing my neighbors’ and several other acquaintances reacting disgustingly over this choice.  Let me clarify at the very beginning, I choose law because of my passion, because it was my dream and not because of some f***ing rejection from all other lucrative option (of course in your view) such as engineering, medical and any other such lucrative seeming option to you. I am sure that I am not alone who joined a law school as the outcome of his passion for this great career, there are  thousands like me studying, to be more precise chasing their dreams passionately  in some or other law schools around the country.
